I do not think the film can be appreciated on whether "Hubbard" aka was portrayed fairly, unfairly or neither. We know far more about Lancaster Dodd (PS Hoffman), which isn't that much, than we do about the real LR Hubbard, of which there is more urban legend than likely truth.
